Bramford and Blakenham Ward -Michael Blakenham 731 votes (30.26%) ELECTED
Claydon and Barham Ward - Shirley Fairburn 250 votes (9.21%) 6th of 8
Suffolk Together is an independent local party made up of people with a wide range of experience, who all believe that local decisions should be made by local people, not by politicians following national party lines.
The Party
The fifteen founding members of Suffolk Together included a school teacher, a carpenter, a farmer, a business consultant, a trade unionist, an accountant, an author, a band leader, a professional carer, a journalist, a caterer and a former political agent. All of us live and work in our local Suffolk communities.
Michael Blakenham and Steve Wright were elected to the Mid Suffolk District Council in the May 2007 election, and have worked to good effect there on your behalf. We are contesting three wards again this time.

Local Government Reorganisation. We fought to keep Bramford, Claydon and Great Blakenham out of a “Greater Ipswich” and to save money by merging Mid-Suffolk with Babergh communities. Click for more
County Household Waste Sites. We are fighting to stop the closure of the waste disposal and recycling facility at Bramford. Click for more
